The cast for the 20th season of “Dancing with the Stars” was announced this morning, and 2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin is looking to add a mirror ball trophy to her medal collection.
Liukin will partner with Derek Hough, who also danced with Shawn Johnson in her second appearance on the ballroom competition show as part of the All Star cast in 2012. Johnson, who won the mirror ball trophy during her first stint in 2009, finished as the runner-up with Hough. ..

Both would need full FIG routines back in time for trials. Their 2015-16 College season would be disrupted.
I’d say both are long shots for Worlds Glasgow at this point. But I’d love to see them try out. 🙂

Qualification for regional competition is based on a team’s and an all-around competitor’s six best regular-season-meet scores, of which three must be away. To obtain the regional qualifying score (RQS), the high score is eliminated and the remaining five scores are averaged.
