We are currently looking for an experienced qualified individual to run our gymnastics program this summer! Camp Starlight is an 7-week residential camp located in Northeast Pennsylvania (about 2½ hours from New York City).

The Gymnastics Director position would include:

• The instruction and coaching of children from the ages 7-15 years with all different skill levels.
• Develop and implement lesson plans.
• Manage 2 other staff members.

Requirements
• Our ideal candidate has a passion for gymnastics and a strong interest in working with children of all levels.

• Experience in teaching individuals, groups, and managing coaches is required.
• You should be able to teach up to Level 9.
• You should have at least 5+ years of coaching.

We offer a great salary with room and board included. Dates of employment are June 18th-August 16, 2015.

With numerous Polish titles, World Cup medals and European finals between them, Roman Kulesza and Marta Pihan-Kulesza have been mainstays on the international Artistic Gymnastics scene for more than a decade. In this interview with Le Gymnaste Magazine, the monthly publication of the French Gymnastics Federation, the Kuleszas reveal what has kept them in Poland – and in Gymnastics – as they prepare for the busy international season ahead.

Grótta gymnastic club in Iceland is looking for a full time professional WAG coach for girls 11-14 years old, level of the girls in comparable to American gymnastic levels 7-9.

We are looking for a coach that can start working during the period May 1st to August 1st 2015. If you are ambitious and have experience with coaching at this or higher level, have good organizational skills and are good in human relations this is the right job for you.

The first time a child rips it’s a big shock. For the gymnast. And Mom.

Gym Gab posted a discussion on the topic.

Rips are injuries. To be prevented as much as possible. Smarter gymnasts and coaches suffer fewer rips than the average gym.

Training Bar in a circuit is recommended. The hands cool off during the stations NOT causing friction on the rail.

Using Safety Straps is recommended. More reps, less distress.

Wearing grips is recommended. Gymnasts can start as young as age-7 or 8.
