meet Audrey Rousseau (Canada)

Canada has a lot of depth right now. To make this team wasn’t easy. Congratulations Audrey.

First-year senior Audrey Rousseau of Canada told IG she is confident that she can deliver good performances at the world championships in Glasgow later this month.

“I’m really focused right now on my work and on this great opportunity that I have,” said Rousseau, who trains under coaches Dany Gilbert and Nathalie Turner at Club Equilibrix in Sainte-Catherine, Quebec. “This competition will be a great experience on all points, and of course my first objective is to do the best I can to help the team to reach the objectives.”

Nick Zaccardi:

The U.S. women’s gymnastics team that will try to win a fourth straight global title at the World Championships in three weeks in Glasgow, Scotland, is arguably the most accomplished in American history.

It’s the first time a U.S. men’s or women’s team for Worlds has included two past Olympic or World all-around champions — Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas.
