The single best thing I saw today was Simone’s Amanar in the podium mock meet. In full speed I could see no deduction.
Seems crazy that someone landing with their butt almost touching the landing mat on double front will score higher. 😦

The way FIG evaluates Produnova vaults, expect to have the 3 gymnasts who warmed it up (so far) all qualify to the Vault Final.
Sooner or later they have to FIX this problem. 😦

I was quite impressed with Team USA on Bars. They are not as far behind China and Russia as I would have expected.
Beam – as expected – is a bit worrisome. They could use a rock solid Beam specialist rather than a 4th AA candidate. They are not likely to fall. But there are plenty of obvious deductions.
