At a judge’s meeting in Glasgow I was informed that even the great Kohei has been deducted in the past. Including 2014 Worlds.
Not for “low chest” – that would be stupid – but rather for not “having his feet together”.
As has been adopted by the Women’s NCAA, after landing with feet shoulder width FIG male gymnasts must slide heels together until they touch. If they do not touch, the feet were too wide.
Kohei is sliding his heels together now. 🙂
