There’s almost always more drama in the Men’s competition than Women’s.
First flight of #Glasgow2015 competition featured the home team, a squad I’d predicted will finish top 3 in Team. Here’s the AA result (so far).
1. Dan Purvis (GBR) 88.956
Dan and Kohei are the two cleanest/consistent gymnasts in the sport today.
2T. Max Whitlock (GBR) 88.365
2T. Nile Wilson (GBR) 88.365
4. Oyakawa Mariano Arthur (BRA) 88.182
5. de Souza Bitencourt Lucas (BRA) 88.182
6. Campos Souza Caio (BRA) 84.831
Max will go through to the AA final with Dan. The tie-breaker is total “top 5 best routines”. Nile Wilson will sit (as he did last year due to wrist injury).
Brazil is counting every tenth. They’d love to finish top 8. Qualify directly to Rio with a full team.

Thanks Chris.
Marta has been one of the most colourful and entertaining gymnasts of past years. We’re going to miss her. 😦
After the Olympics we can miss her. 🙂 She is still training for RIO.
I’m 99% sure the double Olympic medalist will make the apparatus final at #Glasgow2015 with 15.533 (6.900 + 8.633). Great for the U.K. fans. Great for those in media.
Max Whitlock is borderline with 15.266 (higher start, but struggled on one handstand).
That would be Team Netherlands. Their first qualification to Olympics as a team since 1976

He’s only competed 14 World Championships. That’s not enough. 🙂
Oh, here he is.
