Yep.
Nancy Armour:
No one but Martha Karolyi had her on the team for the 2011 world gymnastics championships and, yet, there she was. No one thought much of her chances in Tokyo, so all she did was post the fifth-highest total in qualifying, make the uneven bars final and help the Americans win the team title.
She was supposed to be the odd-American out in the all-around at the London Olympics, and we all know what happened there.
So it should come as no surprise that Douglas’ name was near the top of the standings after qualifying Saturday. Olympic champions aren’t supposed to come back, and they’re sure not supposed to make their first major international meet in three years look easy. …

At age-34, one of the greatest Floor / Vault men all time has successfully made another comeback for #Glasgow2015.
Marian did qualify to the #Glasgow2015 Vault Final. But missed on Floor.
Coincidence? 🙂
USA qualifies a full team to the Rio Olympics. Danell Leyva the top American AA in qualifications.

In a very stressful situation, Danell did not hold back. Seemed to me he launched the first release with even greater height than usual.
Americans very often rise to the occasion when most challenged. Respect.
There are a large number of Dutch media here in Scotland. Gymnastics – especially Epke – is a BIG DEAL in that nation.
Team Netherlands put together a very good meet today, but it wasn’t enough to match their women. They live to fight another day. At the Rio Test Meet.
Sadly, Epke did not qualify to the H Bar Final.
He scored 14.300 (7.200 D +7.100 E) 31st rank at this point.
Zonderland could still be Olympic Champion. The team needs to go to the Test Meet. Qualify as a team first.
After errors USA really needed this guy to anchor big on P Bars and H Bar. He did.
