Louis Smith is back
Some of the British guys suspected Louis would be back.
He is.
Three time Olympic medallist Louis Smith has announced that he will be returning to full time training in an attempt to qualify and compete for England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. …
Louis:
“Qualifying for Team England will be no easy feat. People may assume that my achievements to date will mean a place in the team however that couldn’t be further from the case. … “
GBR will most likely win Commonwealth Games as a team. They may opt to put a specialist like Louis on for the big publicity he brings.
inks points out that Scotland might be competitive with Keatings & Purvis.
On the other hand, it would be good for the sport, if not for Team England’s final medal count to have Louis in the media spotlight.

over-protected gymnasts?
Many times I’ve feared for gymnasts heading off to College, knowing too little about the birds and the bees.
College coaches can tell you stories of how naive some of the kids are on reporting to school.
Gymnasts are not getting the information from their doctors:
In annual physicals teens and docs failed to talk sex a third of the time and usually too briefly when the subject was addressed.
Coaches should stay away from this topic with their athletes as much as possible. It’s the parent’s responsibility.

Not included are the various difficulties that can be accrued on Pommel Horse through the addition of Flop sequences and also upgrades to handstand dismounts i.e. 360 Pirouette and/or 3/3 travel
