Uchimura wins 7th Nationals

Uchimura became the first man to win seven individual all-around national championship titles in succession Sunday.

Uchimura scored a total of 181.200 points at Yoyogi National Stadium, beating second-placed Shogo Nonomura. Ryohei Kato was third at the meet serving as a second-round selection qualifier for the world championships in China in October.

Natsumi Sasada defended the women’s crown with 55.950 points, 0.500 ahead of Asuka Teramoto. Yuna Hiraiwa was third.
