Marian Dragalescu is back

And has already earned a personal invitation to compete at the Rio Olympics. 🙂

A man ahead of his time on Vault, Dragulescu pioneered the jump that bears his name (two front flips with a half twist) in 1999, and it helped him win four World titles on the event (2001, 2005, 2006 and 2009). Though he stuck his signature skill in event finals at both the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games, he was never as consistent with his second vault, and had to settle for less than gold both times.

While the Dragulescu is still considered among the most difficult in the world, Dragulescu knows that he may need to do even more if he wants to land on the Olympic podium next summer in Rio. …
