Apparently there’s a new Chinese Gymnastics reality TV show called “I Have a Gymnastics Dream”.
One blogger posted an episode 2 summary. It featured He Kexin and used Guangxi Gymnastics Sports School as one of the locations.

Gymnasts from 14 Pittsburgh-area gymnastics clubs, led by two-time Olympic gold-medalist Gabrielle Douglas of Virginia Beach, Va./Chow’s Gymnastics and Dance, made history on Pittsburgh’s Roberto Clemente Bridge when they set the record for simultaneous cartwheels at 735, smashing the previous world record of 482 …
More than two years out from the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, Douglas’ comeback is already well underway. It even has a possible target date: the 2014 U.S. Nationals in Pittsburgh later this summer.
The 18-year-old told The Associated Press on Monday she hopes to compete in the all-around title at nationals – where Douglas could face current world all-around champion and good friend Simone Biles – to help her get set for the world championships in China this fall. …

Olympic Day is a celebration for youth around the world to observe the Olympic values of Fair Play, Perseverance, Respect and Sportsmanship. It is also a day to celebrate the International Olympic Committee’s 3 pillars: Move, Learn and Discover. It is held annually on every June 23rd.

I’ve always bragged that the Pommel bucket at my home gym (Altadore) was the best I’d ever seen. It’s was built and is maintained by Ed Vincent.
But the one at Unigym in Gatineau, Quebec is even better.
Twist belt. Hung from a swivel. Padded inside and outside. Very durable.
Leave a comment if you’ve seen one better.
Unigym has “over 3,000 members”. It’s in a huge multi-sport complex.

The Professional Gymnastics Cup Series will be a 3-skill format with 2 gymnasts competing head-to-head and skill-for-skill on 3 different apparatus. This exclusive LIVE event will be held for one night only at International Gymnastics, the premier gymnastics training camp in the world.
The event will be a team and an individual competition at once with 2 men and 1 woman representing each team. The athletes will compete on each event head-to-head with a judge’s panel quickly deciding who completed the skill better. Each event will consist of 3 rounds with a different skill being competed in each round. …
