new Quebec Training Centre

After the Montreal Olympics 1976, we Canadians were looking forward to a NEW GYM opening in The Big O tower. The Big O is the nickname of the Olympic Stadium.

Big O

The 1976 Olympics lost so much money that the stadium was soon called The Big Owe. The legacy Gymnastics facility proposal was cancelled.

Today, almost 40 years later, a training centre finally has opened in that tower.

Friends of Steve N Sue Arkell on Facebook can see some pics.

It looks great.

No club will train regularly out of this facility. It’s dedicated to special events, training camps, coaching courses, etc.
