I Love Gymnastics, But There is That One Thing…

Brad Thornton talks about an athlete with a BIG aversion to one thing in Gymnastics.

Is it a female Artistic gymnast with a mental block on something backwards?

No.

This time it’s a guy who can’t psych up to train Pommels:

1. Identity small problem areas within the major problem and develop a plan

2. Shoot for small victories within your problem each day

3. Tell yourself the complete opposite of how you normally feel about the problem

Olympic Talk

Trampoline is one of Canada’s best Olympic sports. WAG finished 5th in London, a best ever performance. With a lot of depth in the run up to Worlds 2015 and (if needed) Olympic Test Meet 2016, I’d say WAG has a good shot at qualifying as a Team.

Waiting on USAG to confirm that officially. The gymnasts going to Italy will likely not be finalized until after the NEXT Karolyi Camp. These seem to be provisional entries.

… Ablyazin, Bielawski, Garibova?

– Many ill with the flu, but the overall mood in the team is good.

Of the strongest in Penza not perform Emin Garibov and Alexander Balandin. All the rest – in the ranks. Garibov is still recovering from its complex operations, and Balandin though started training yet can not operate at full capacity.

Denis Ablyazin at the end of the year and was operated, and there are nuances associated with his health. Denis is constantly under medical supervision, but in training shows a very good level of readiness. Even more complicated vault, confidently takes the floor exercise. …
