Matthew Sparks, Head Coach of Cirque du Soleil La Nouba, has former Russian gymnast Marina Goriounova in his troupe.
Marina found herself in the Soviet training video I linked to recently.
It reminded her of a Certificate she had received nearly 30yrs ago reading:
Awarded: Marina Goriounova
For the first Double Layout with 360 Twist Dismount performed from the Uneven Bars in Competition.
At the All Union Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Presented by the Physical Committee for Culture and Sport for the USSR. November 22, 1986.

Since #6.506 “Swing fwd to double salto bwd stretched with 1/1 turn (360°) in first or second salto” has no name, let’s call it the Goriounova.

I talked to Kate Richardson today at Calgary Gymnastics Centre. She’s cheering her Bruins, of course.
… Michigan has been the most reliable and consistent team in the NCAA this year and has the distinct honor of being the only team to have scored a 49 on beam in every single meet. …
… Michigan’s low this season is a 196.600, and that score is almost always good enough to make it out of regionals. I expect a solid 197. …
… it’s going to be Michigan’s solidity against UCLA’s star power. UCLA has more potential 9.950s. If we take the season as a whole, UCLA has recorded 26 9.950s to Michigan’s 15, and the two teams that have competed in the same number of meets and recorded nearly the same RQS. …
It’s easier now to have a new element named. It can happen at any competition judged by one of the FIG MTC.

Obviously catching the same skill in cross grip should be in the same box in the Code. Hopefully MTC will fix this problem in the next revision.
