USA Sr National Team named

U.S. Senior National Team: Alyssa Baumann of Plano, Texas/WOGA; Biles; Nia Dennis of Westerville, Ohio/Legacy Elite; Douglas; Key; Kocian; Nichols; Raisman; Kyla Ross of Aliso Viejo, Calif./Gym-Max; MyKayla Skinner of Gilbert, Ariz./Desert Lights Gymnastics

Amongst the world class gymnasts not named was Ashton Locklear.

proud of Nia Dennis

I was worried. It’s not easy to switch clubs mid-season and still make National Team.

Nia Dennis had a goal for this PG Championships of consistency and she met that goal going 8 for 8 over the course of the two days. She makes her first senior national team and now looks to make some upgrades to get ready for the Worlds Selection Camp. Will we see the Amanar in a month?

The Buckeye gymnasts were great at Championships, as well. They did a terrific job bringing up Nia. She recently moved to Legacy Elite.

It’s going to be difficult to argue against putting Ashton on the Worlds team. Yet she may not even be invited to Worlds Camp.

Laurie Hernandez 2015 Jr Champ

1. Laurie Hernandez: 117.500
2. Jazmyn Foberg: 117.400
3. Ragan Smith: 116.450

At least one of these super talents will be competing Rio, I predict. All they need to do is stay healthy. An impressive weekend for all three.
