Russia took the team title Saturday at the 18th International Junior Team Cup, a boys competition held in Berlin.

corner rule – wait and see
Many have mocked the new “corner rule” in women’s gymnastics.

I intensely disliked many small backward steps into the corner, as we saw in the last Code.
Anything would be better. This is better.
Over time interesting ways will evolve. Corners choreography will improve.
… But if I was Nellie Kim, I’d push to allow up to a 2 second stop before each tumbling line. Deduct steps and hops 0.1. And ask gymnasts to find a graceful way to get into the corner.
