Russian Men win FISU

They did it. The hosts won the Team competition.

1. Russia 273.150
2. Ukraine 269.950
3. Japan 269.700

Russia’s strategy of sending its best MAG team to the Universiade in Kazan today paid off. All rounders Nikita Ignatyev, David Belyavski and Nikolai Kuksenkov put in a solid showing, supported by specialists Denis Ablyazin (floor, vault, rings) and Emin Garibov (pommels, parallel bars and high bar). Their performance must be one of the most consistent and solid by a Russia MAG team in a long time …

RRG – Russia’s golden haul continues in Kazan – updated with links to full results

Denis Ablyazin threw an absurdly difficult Floor routine. (7.1)

Compare that against Kenzo Shirai’s 7.3 difficulty routine.
