  1. What a phenomenal routine. She showed dazz, dance, artistry, and showmanship. This routine might not be the highest difficulty; but she sells it and look at the lines flexed toes and dance elements. Truly wonderful to watch.

  2. I just can’t find a way to enjoy watching this athlete. I feel like it’s just too much. I know. I know. At a time when most routines are choreography negative. But still, I just think she looks like she is trying hard to cover up that she actually is lacking in difficulty across the board. In summary, I don’t buy into the hype.

The overscoring on night 1 for this athlete was laughable. She should be on the team but this has potential to have McCool like outcomes and consequences. She’s likely to score 2-3 points lower in Rio.

We get it USAG. You want Laurie in Rio. But send her with realistic expectations. As Shawn Johnson proved in Beijing. And indeed even Aly last year in Glasgow. The home soil pump and over score can, and in this case, will likely end in personal disappointment.
