Madison sends us this tragic story from California.

… Kenneth Ta is dead.

Sacramento police said the 15-year-old fell from an eight-story parking structure at 28th and N streets last Thursday evening.

… We’re just trying to determine if it was an accidental fall or something else,” said Officer Laura Peck, a spokeswoman for the Sacramento Police Department.

But at age-24, he’s still training despite many injuries.

video – spring-loaded stilts

Pro-jump (UK) and Poweriser (USA) are two brands of spring-loaded stilts used for the extreme sport of Powerbocking. (Alexander Böck from Germany first patented the idea in 1999.)

You might also see them called Kangaroo Boots.

There are a number of other brands, of course.

They’ve been used in circus performances. Yet I feel there’s much potential left in this invention.
