She still kinda does this one handed. The left hand is blocking and the right just kinda touches the horse.

Exactly, Coach M. I don’t understand why her coaches aren’t working on correcting her technique. It seems very unsafe to be trying a vault this difficult basically one handed, not to mention if she were to actually do the vault one handed in competition, she’d end up with a score of ZERO.

A lot of people can do all sorts into the pit…

I wish judges actually did their job last summer. A vault w/o repulsion from both hands is an automatic 0 according to the code. If her hand that actually does block slips it could be horrendously unsafe. What irresponsible and dangerous technique., shame on these coaches.

Her hand obviously touches the table, therefor, no zero! Plus she was hammered on vault and floor at Nationals when she didnt really need to be so that’s that. She posted a video on instagram of her doing a triple double on a regular floor! It is on to a solid mat but the mat is at floor level so she is close.

Jacob, read the code. Just touching isn’t sufficient enough, there must be repulsion from both arms. Excuses (especially wrong ones) that undermine the inherent danger in incorrectly performing what is already an extremely dangerous sport.
