What are your three main projects for the new Olympic cycle?
… the age question. If you rob a female athlete of all hope of ever making the national team when she is just 13 or 14, if 18-year-olds are considered old – and there are only a few exceptions – what hope is there? A sport that ages early has no future.

Saying the World Cup [series] is working well is pointless. It is going really badly. It will be crucial to give more importance to the continental championships and the World Cup. They should both ultimately lead to Olympic participation. We need a comprehensive Olympic qualification that starts in the post-Olympic year and ultimately leads up to the 96 athletes in the Olympic season.
