Sigh… There is no way Gymnastike Gold should cost more than twice as much as Netflix.

AGREED. Is there anywhere else to watch this meet?

Long time fan here Ric.

Just wondering if you feel you are promoting Gymnastike Gold in this post?

I don’t see Coach Rick promoting. He’s just providing information on how to get a live stream and what it costs.

He had no control over the crazy price Gymnastike decided to charge for their stuff.

20 bucks for a live stream of the meets isn’t that out of line, but 150 per year? No way.

The free market will take care of that. If people won’t pay that price, it will end up going down.

People have to stop comparing NETFLIX to Gymnastike GOLD! Lets compare apples to apples. If you want to watch college gymnastics streams (those that charge- most big schools except UCLA/UTAH) you are paying between 10-15/month for 4 months to watch about 6 home meets (and if there is more teams then a dual you only see the home team and what else the host school wants to show.)
Tomorrow night at MetroPlex College Session you can watch every gymnast on every event. Plus watch all the level 10 action from all sessions. If you are a men’s gymnastics fan you can catch all 6 events from the mens meet tonight as well. So in one meet you have the ability to watch more gymnastics then you would in a college stream in one season.
In terms of Gold going away, the subscription numbers continue to grow each day as more coaches/clubs are talking about it at meets (got some great comments this past weekend at Pikes Peak Open in Colorado and I was there just as a coach NOT FOR GYMNASTIKE AT ALL).

The clubs we have gone to so far have had great things to say about the coverage and are all subscribers to gold. Parkettes which was torn down by CNN let us into the gym and was very happy with it. I know this for a fact as one of the elite coaches Robin Netwell has a granddaughter at our gym and is in town once a month to watch her. She loves how our site promotes the gymnasts and the sport as well.

You don’t have to subscribe to Gymnastike Gold and we are providing the same type of coverage as we have the last 4 years NOTHING HAS CHANGED. We are just trying to step it up and give gymnastics coaches/gymnasts/clubs more in depth content.

1. Does anyone know if this coverage is in HD? I would like to know that before I subscribe.
2. Also, if you subscribe month to month, will you still be able to watch on your ipad?
3. Will you keep getting charged every month once you sign up?

Any help/answers is appreciated :) I want to watch the LSU meet this weekend and was considering getting a subscription.

I’ll pay to see the men’s meet.

I might pay the full price IF there were 10+ men’s meets with great coverage.

If you ask me, the college men should be providing free streams just to get themselves out there.

Nope.

I love Gymnastike. But agree they’ve priced this service too high. And not explained it near well enough.

I’ll normally not link to the GOLD pages. But this idea is NEW. Very interesting. I hope full coverage like this catches on.

Somebody needs to explain how I could have watched every gymnast on every event. I could only watch one event at a time. If there was a way to see all six events simultaneously (other than clicking back and forth between tabs multiple times), I could not figure it out.

I don’t ever pay to watch college gymnastics. If you wait long enough the girls will travel to a college that doesn’t charge.

Jason, I am glad that many gyms area willing to pay for your site. I want gymnastics people to make money. But I a regular gymnastics coach can’t afford it. I am actually glad I can pay my rent every month with the salary most coaches are making these days. I would love for my gym to pay for it, however I asked for a new tunnel without a rip and I am still waiting to get it. I can’t even go to the website because most of the time what I want to watch in gold.

Well, if you want to watch men’s NCAA, you might (probably will) die before the boys get to a college that doesn’t charge.

I wish they had a pay per view option.

I gave in and Ordered Gymnastike Gold- then ended up having to go to a dinner party and missed the girls NCAA meet. It would be great if there was a play back option so you don’t have to watch it live. I also would like a better quality video on the live stream.

What??? No on-demand??? That’s just bizarre. I hope they realise the internet is world-wide and that not everybody is awake at any given moment.

Agreed Clinton!
