Hi Rick, *slightly off topic* but I’ve been wondering for a long while now if there are any good books, sites or whatever resource that explores the biomechanics and science of trampolining?

I couldn’t come up with anything extensive or especially good – all comparing to journals like this or books like championship gymnastics for example.

Good question.

The answer is no.

Best resources I’ve seen myself are the Canadian Trampoline manuals and videos. Right now they are being totally revamped. A drastic change, they tell me.

Sorry about that. Perhaps Russia, Germany, Japan or one of the other strong nations have manuals in their language.

Thanks, are any of these manuals accessible for the public?

The have sometimes sold them in the past, but I see the “store” is still offline. It has been for months.

So … you’d need to contact someone in Canada to check. Do you have any Canadian Trampoline coaching contacts. Otherwise try to Google “Gymnastics Canada Staff” and contact one of those email addresses.

Might be worth getting in touch with professor Fred Yeadon at Loughborough University, he has written many papers on biomechanics of gymnastics and comes from a Trampolining background.
