… Shelby Township Michgan with Olympia Gymnastics. Olympia is owned by Lori Koch and is one of the top programs in Region 5 with many level 9 and 10 National Qualifiers along with many gymnasts competing in college. Olympia qualified 5 level 10 gymnasts to JO Nationals in 2012. This gym has also qualified an athlete in the elite arena with Alyssa Sherametaro competing at Classics and Visa Championships as a junior in 2010. Olympia combines the typical training programs with some unique qualities like still ring conditioning to develop their athletes.

No wonder I couldn’t find the price. That is insane.
I appreciate all the additional coverage Gymnastike has brought to the sport…but those prices are just not realistic. Very high in my opinion. $5-$10/ month, or $50-$60/year seems more realistic, i mean NetFlix is $7.99/month.
Cost does seem high.
… Perhaps it’s an experiment. Testing the market for a paid version of the service.
And it’s strange there’s no way to test the service without submitting a card. I didn’t, for one.
I assume the monthly is more for someone who just wants access for one or two months. Doesn’t make any sense otherwise with that drastic increase over the yearly.
It was only a matter of time before Gymnastike began charging, Anne does a lot of work and travel and it is a business after all, can’t do it for free! For me it’s not worth the extra money, money is tight for everyone nowadays and if I spend extra, I’d rather spend it on something I NEED! I do love all the videos we get from them though, it’s so great to have all gymnastics videos in one central spot!
You can get so much content for free everywhere on the internet. I like what she does and I do think she deserves to get compensated but sometimes you have to start small with your prices and work your way up. The more exclusive and useful her content is, the more likely us coaches will want to pay. Also, a “club” discount is a good idea so a club’s staff can have access to the videos and the owner can pay a small fee.
Thanks for the comments. We are trying to provide more extensive gymnast/coaching/judging information as well as cover more clubs around the country and hopefully someday around the world. People are comparing the Gymnastike gold to services like Netflix. Netflix isnt traveling, filming, producing and editing the movies and or games they RENT to customers.
We understand that Gymnastike’s site has been free and the change was rather quick. However we hope people realize how the Gymnastike Gold service will allow us to have much more content up on the site for free. Workout Wednesdays for example will alternate between free and paid each week (with some weeks having a free and paid version of the workout).
I will bring up your suggestions to our staff and again we thank you for visiting the Gymnastike Site.
Jason
I like the intensity of the training in that vide.. Clearly all the coaching staff in on board, and everyone is working at the same level
Let me know if I can ever publicize what’s happening with the service, Jason.
I just really wish they started cheaper because that is a lot of money a month and maybe if they started cheaper I would be willing to try it for a few months and see what happens. What if I pay now and in 6 months nothing exciting comes to Gold.. Then I would not be a happy camper.
