Funny thing about that gym and Oregon/Wash in general…..Naydenov trains these kids right up to this point, then the Multnomah Athletic club steals them. Ever hear of Destiny Davis? That was just the latest one. Jordan will be gone by this time next year, take my word. It’s like clockwork.
how can a gym steal a gymnast? its a free country people can go wherever they want to, get over it.
Love the front triple to front LO
zaraa,
It’s called ethics. Can I steal food from the store? Free Country, yes, free thinking in your part, NO. Ignorance is bliss for you though I guess.

How can you steal someone? slavery is over if you didnt get the memo. If a child is not happy or for whatever reason decides to switch gyms i really dont see the problem, the only people that have a problem are egotistic coaches.
OOPs seems like an upset jeolous parent that has no clue, or any business commenting about a gymast she doesnt even know. Oops need a lesson on ethics.
I read somewhere that she was not old enough for 2016 Olympics, (something like a month) that should be said.
It was in the interview linked by Triple Twist. She’s 9 months too young for 2016.
Thanks. I’ve got that in the post now.
“It’s called ethics. Can I steal food from the store? Free Country, yes, free thinking in your part, NO. Ignorance is bliss for you though I guess.”
Is MAC “Stealing” these athletes or are the athletes leaving of their own accord? Because, you’re right. It’s unethical to recruit customers from another business. However, if they’re not recruiting and the athletes simply choose to go to a different club, that isn’t MAC’s fault. The athletes do not have to stay with a club that no longer suits their needs any more than I have to stay with a grocery store that doesn’t suit my needs. If Naydenov wants to keep their athletes, they need to get to figure out why they are leaving and maybe then they can figure out how to get them to stay.
Wow I didn’t know there could be so much controversy over an 11 year old. HAHA! MAC probably has a good program, but Naydenov is her home not to mention she loves the remarkable coaching staff. Jordan and her coaches are both working working hard toward her goals and that should be respected. So controversy over…Jordan in staying put
On another note…. I was actually thinking it would be great to hear what you think of her gymnastics…this is a gymnastics coaching blog right?
The MAC Club has a fantastic program, however, the reason they are able to “steal gymnasts” is because they offer level 7s and up full tuition scholarships! The MAC Club is not only a gymnastics gym, they are a prestigious private club where membership can takes years to apply for and then obtain. By offering scholarships, they are able to accept gymnasts into their program without families being members. They also have fantastic coaches over there!
As for Jordan, I remember watching her at a level 9 meet a few years back and being blown away. I am excited for her future progression in gymnastics!
Dear OOPS, ask why Destiny Davis went to the MAC Club-stealing nope- I think it might be called free will. Jordan Chiles will not be going to the MAC Club-she is very happy where she is. I agree with blogger MOM-nobody mentions her capabilities and believe me she is quite the gymnast. WOW said it perfectly “OOPs seems like an upset jeolous parent that has no clue, or any business commenting about a gymast she doesnt even know. Oops need a lesson on ethics.” I think OPPS might be a disgruntled parent.
She has talent to be getting such notice. The reality is that it is best for this young girl to get to a gym and coaching staff with a proven record and political connections for establishing top gymnasts for her to truly stand a chance to reach her potential. Uprooting is part of the gymnastics process (or progress) for many. You have to get to one of the top gyms in the country to stand a chance. If the child has the talent and is working so hard, she deserves a real chance to make it and not to wonder “what if … .”
