Worth seeing. 74% on Rotten Tomatoes.
LOTS of swinging and acrobatics.
The Amazing Spider-Man (2012 film) is a reboot of the Spider-Man film franchise, portraying the character’s origin story and his development into a superhero while still a high school student.
The film stars Andrew Garfield in the title role as Spider-Man/Peter Parker, with Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors.

I like the cast. Especially Emma Stone. She reminds me of a younger version of Marg Helgenberger circa China Beach.

I’ve despised this movie unjustly since it was announced after they decided to reboot Spiderman. I understand the politics and why, I’ve just been against it.
Eventually, I will see it for Spiderman and Emma Stone. Coin toss as to which is more important to me.
I do hear it’s good though which irks me. Same thing I heard about the Hulk reboot though I still preferred the prior one.
Hopefully this is much better than the Hulk reboot. I found it to focus on too much action and not be as cerebral.
I don’t know about despised but I’m not in a hurry to see it. I’m just like, ‘Spiderman, again? Already?”
There should be some sort of reverse-statue of limitations on reboots. Like, you’re not allowed to make them for something which has already been rebooted within the last fifteen years.
