Gymnastics Adventure in Regina is now pushing Cheer in a big way. Last night they held “try outs” for the first ever GA competitive Team. There’s a second tryout tonight.
Great move. Most gymnastics gyms are fairly empty by 8pm. Cheer athletes, being older, can train 8pm and later. A great use of the space. And an additional revenue stream keeping the doors open.

But gymsask does NOT cover cheer. I think AGF does, right?
Another good thing about them training later? We don’t have to hear their same music over and over… being in a MAG gym we have the luxury of not hearing the same floor music over and over….
Not sure who governs competitive Cheer in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Personally I’d like it be run as a business. As in the USA.
UGH….tried cheer in our gym 3 times….never again. Coaches who refuse to do lead ups. Cheer parents and the cheerleader drama….We have made more money in one month of XCEL then we did all year with cheer. It was the BEST feeling to cancel that program!!!
