NGM feels this Vault may have been better than Zamarippa’s 10.

Landing is better. But Vanessa “sets” better. And is higher. Still, I’d have awarded both superstars a 10.

Hey thanks for posting this. I wanted to see it again. The main thing (during the broadcast) was that they replayed Zam’s 10 a couple of times and you could see in one angle the slightly lopsided landing. A beautiful vault, but just this one thing. Then we see GSE and it presents as cleaner, so I expected the 10 for her as well. I’d like to see Ivana Hong’s 9.975 too. Can you find it for me. ;)

Right. From my angle in the Arena Vanessa looked STUCK feet together. The judges have a terrible view, so they wouldn’t have seen that slight foot deviation.

Ivana was ultra clean — Al Fong a million drills clean. But it was pretty flat and short, I thought.

I think they’re both worthy of a 10. GSE is a great gymnast too and honestly it’s not better than Van’s. Both are excellent!
