Dr. Michael Canales interviews the likeable Jon Horton after surgery. They’ve repaired the damage from a Lisfranc injury he suffered landing short on Dragulescu Vault at the 2011 Tokyo World Championships.

I think Jon will be back, better than ever. Better on Pommels, in particular.

May I have a question? Why do you say Dragalescu when it`s Dragulescu?
Oh no. I make that typo all the time, dracor.
I’ll FIX it this time. Try to get it right in future.
what do bross and horton have in common…
I love that he’s so positive. very inspiring and a great example to others
Doesn’t he have a tweaked bicep/shoulder? Is there a danger of overdoing it on arm strength?
That’s Paul Hamm, TCO. You are getting your male gymnast body parts mixed up.
I think Horton’s shoulder is OK at this point…
Horton has a concern as well. He devalued his rings routine at Nats. I think he is back to full strength, but I’m just calling it out as a concern. Like Laron Landry is supposed to have recovered from his Achilles injury, but we still would not be totally surprised if it flared again, would we?
P.s. I think Horton would be a happy drunk. Paul would be a mean one. I am a mean one too. But kinda funny.
Horton made SR finals in Tokyo with a 6.7. True, he ate it in the EF.
Yeah, Horton could reinjure something. Horse should not bother his shoulder as much. He needs more practice on that, anyway. He is already good on rings.
I wonder if he will compete a Dragulescu ever again.
All of the USAs are kind of scary.
Who is Laron Landry?
GIYF, mike-foxtrot…
Yes, I could have googled it, but that doesn’t tell me why you are likening Hortons situation to that of someone that most people on this blog would never have heard of. Maybe Paul Hamm will end up like Brendan Fevola.
Just getting my thug on.
