I’m surprised to see such a strong line-up competing the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Challenge Cup Ghent including:

Marco Baldauf (AUT), Diego Hypolito, Jade Barbosaet, Diana dos Santos (BRA), Zou Kai and Wu Liufang (CHN), Tomi Tuuha (FIN), Vlasos Maras (GRE), Kirsztian Berki (HUN), Dutch trio van Gelder, Wammes, Zonderland, Diana Anton Golotsukov (RUS), Regulo Carmona (VEN). …

Rumour is that Olympic Floor champion Zou Kai has a HUGE Floor difficulty start score.

Jiang Yuyuan is there, too, perhaps to prove herself ready for Tokyo.

Prize money of 25,000 CHF makes the event appealing. But we can already predict that somebody will be injured, forcing them to miss World Championships.

Forget Worlds! With less than 10 months to go, an injury now could put you out of the running for the Olympics.

Fabian Hambüchen won’t compete in Ghent – only the two German gymnasts Jonas Rohleder and Ivan Rittschik.
