Kent Caldwell – Quad full

The best quadruple twisting layout I’ve seen on Floor was from Michigan’s Kent Caldwell, who used it to win the Winter Cup new skills challenge in 2007.

It’s such an ugly skill. that one is the “best” and is still 90 degrees short, crossed legs, lot of nutation going on, landing angled forward.

I remember seeing a biomechanics video discussing Nastia and Artemev’s work on this sort of stuff. And they were ugly too. And basically the analsysis was you take someone who can do a triple and have them basically try to squeeze a little more into it. but they look like junk.

@Polytroll

so I guess it shouldn’t be done at all?

or is it just that you do it better – giving you the right to dismiss it in such way!?

i almost feel that the skill should be defined with leg crossing.
