Podium training in beautiful, mellow Long Beach, California.
With 700 male gymnasts (ages 12-18) at MAG J.O. Nationals, the competition gym is crowded. I saw 25 guys waiting their turn on Horizontal Bar, at one point.
Yet the “open” training gym has been fairly quiet. (The guys are here today mainly to feel the competition apparatus.)

Great to see they have 2 sets of P Bars. This is usually the bottleneck for training gyms at competitions.

We definitely appreciated the 2 sets of pbars this morning. I wish there had been 2 vaults in the training gym though — 2 in the competition hall only.
the judging seemed very, very steady from my point of view. I was thankful for that.
Also, i should add that the traffic flow on the floor was very well organized. the organizers did a great job.
