Lauman – flyaway 1/2 to high

Lauman – flyaway 1/2 from low to high bar

This comparatively easy skill has potential. I’d like to see it directly to free hip or Stalder.

Click PLAY or watch it on YouTube.

broskoski reports it’s a C-skill under J.O. rules.

One of my teammates competed and won USAG Nationals with this in 2003 (TWU).

C? that’s a bit bizarre, since Gienger is a D, and it certainly is not any easier than a Gienger.

It looks like a skill where another 1/2 turn could be added with ease.

I have seen this skill in MN highschool gymnastics meets as well as a few D3 college skills. I don’t think its as tricky to learn as it is to connect it something. It seems to end in a dead hang, either way very cool skill.

I love to see people compete this skill because it’s so unusual and surprising. I just wish there was a way to make it prettier. Bent legs under the bar are just not attractive.
