The twice Olympic Vault champion from Spain has announced his retirement.

Albert from Barcelona posted a nice retrospective of his sometimes controversial career. (I’m still irked he wasn’t sanctioned for STANDING on the Vault table in Athens.)

Has video ever surfaced of “his” skill on FX… I’m not sure how to describe it. Like a barani double back? Half twist to double back. It’s a D in the code of points in group IV on FX.

I was told that he also submitted a version he never competed, with an extra full twist.

I saw the skill on Hardy Fink’s laptop. … We called it “double Jonah back”.
