The Red Bull venue is far less interesting and challenging than the one set-up in England 2008.
I still don’t think free running lends itself to a competitive format. I’d much rather see the best doing chase scenes in Hollywood movies.

You are thinking inside the box. Anything can have a competitive format. Doesn’t matter what it is. It’s nice for the best to do chase scenes in Hollywood movies. I see competition as a great way to be recognized as “the best” by Hollywood.

The exact same thing that happens with gymnastics. Any random gymnast could proclaim that Ortega makes her taco pop but Shawn got to do it because she’s an Olympian and won some medals too.
Furthermore, it’s nice for Parkour types who may not be the best but have a competitive itch to be able to compete at the sport they love.
