best gymnastics competition anywhere?

Mike Durante is looking for a very special event. It need not be in the States though it’s a problem competing kids under a different set of rules.

jamaica/ puerto rico/ bahamas/south america?

I’m one of the organizers of my favourite meet, the Great West Gym Fest near Spokane. (Feb. 25-28, 2011)

Courtney Kupets loved it last year …

The Great West Gym Fest is definitely the best meet I’ve ever attended. Its very well run and a fun time for all the gymnasts!

Two meets my gymnasts really liked in the last couple of years:

1- International Gymnix (Montreal, QC, CANADA) – among others, chance to see a real international competitions, chance to compete on a podium for higher categories.

2- Estrellas Gimnasticas (San Jose, Costa Rica) – cause it’s in Costa Rica, and organizers are really nice… chance to train in their gym which was a very unique experience for little spoiled north american girls

Couple of years later my gymnasts still talk about it… I truly recommend it. We stayed for a full week so had the chance to visit the country. We took local buses and went to local restaurants/shops which I think enhance the girls’ experience, more than if we had used organized trip sort of thing…

I live in the Bahamas, and we are in desperate need of professional gymnastic coaches. I would like to know if there are any gymnastic coaches (w/Bahamian PR status) that is interested in coaching.
