There are no secrets.
Condition. Pay attention to detail, technique and form. Take pride in your gymnastics. Have some personal style. And creativity.
His best advice for young gymnasts is to do series of round-off backward handsprings every practice. For over 15 years he did 10 sets of 5 back handsprings on a soft surface like a TumblTrak or Rod Floor.

Well, I guess he thinks back handsprings are good for something whether or not they are disappearing from competition.
Hi
Does anyone have video footage (more extensive) of this or any other Canadian course they would like to trade or sell?

Many coaches are taking longer video clips than I.
I’ll mention to them tomorrow that you’d be interested in TRADING.
I would rather tumble with Alicia than Kyle.
are gyms in canada required to have only speith anderson equipment?
No, but Spieth has had a virtual monopoly until the past few years.
They “sponsor” Nationals. Therefore most clubs buy that brand.
In the 2008-2009 season, however, my club competed on AAI more often than Spieth.
AAI is moving in from the West. Gymnova from the East. Chinese equipment is making inroads, as well. More competition is good for gymnasts.
Gymnova is the only equipment allowed for meets in Quebec at the Provincial and national level, this MUST be rented from GYMNOVA, no choice of using clubs equipment.
At the regional level if equipments needs to be rented it also muct be from Gymnova.
Clubs seem to have Speith and gymnova here.
[...] must be Shewfelt video week. I previously posted 2 new videos featuring Kyle. (Tumbling clinic and Festival 2011 [...]
Polyis – go ahead, tumble with Alicia. But I am pretty sure this particular post wasn’t about that….
