Question?
Is this good for Acrobatic Gymnastics worldwide?
Certainly.
These kids may turn “pro”. But hundreds or thousands of others will be inspired to take up the formerly little known sport. My own gym, Altadore, just started Acrobatic Gymnastics this year.
Watch some of that troupe compete in the British Men’s 4 Championships 2010.

Cheers for the link Rick! Glad it’s on youtube for you guys to be able to see it too
I’d love to start an acro program at my gym. I’d have no idea where to start, though.
They were amazing on the show. They began their act tonight by throwing one of their performers over the judges table. They thoroughly deserved their win and this can only do good things for gymnastics in the UK. Yes I think we will lose these particular competitors from our National Squad after Worlds this year but I think for getting gymnastics out there this has possibly done more than Beth’s recent European and World medals.
You really need to find a coach with some experience.
I TRIED to coach it at Woodward West one summer. … The kids had to coach me.
A starting point would be to bring in a Cheer base coach.
AWESOME.
Love Acrobatic Gymnastics. But they’ve suffered having so many of the top competitors go to Circus jobs.
“But they’ve suffered having so many of the top competitors go to Circus jobs.”
I wouldn’t call that suffering. I think it’s great when athletes can use their skills to get a job. There’s always going to be a number one athlete no matter what reason the last one left the sport for. If they are leaving the sport to go make money doing the same thing, good for them, and good for the sport.

That was great. While I liked the individual tricks, I thought the whole thing was too crowded. Also, it’s really picky, but I didn’t like that version of “O Fortuna.”
Amazing- so glad they won!! Hopefully we’ll be seeing the majority of them in Poland next month- I’m pretty sure Katie and Nicholas will be there along with the Mens four at least.
That would be fantastic. I really hope they don’t give up the sport competitively.
