He had a rough middle of the competition, but rallied again at the end. He is very impressive. Foo told me he thought it may happen after seeing how great he was at the training camp.

He was so calm and collected the whole competition – having watched him over the past week in podium training and the event – you can tell he makes a great teammate too…
I defiitely enjoyed seeing him on vault… he’s a very small / slight gymnast, but he definitely vaults like a much bigger man!

PS… Although it was comical at times, the US mens team are the loudest bunch of gymnasts I’ve ever heard at an event! The arena was almost silent except for the slightly insane Chris Cameron urging on his team to gold. It was totally fabulous, so ‘American’, but so entertaining! Him and Legendre (who is very impressive) certainly work hard to amp up the enthusiasm among the team members.
They deserved that gold medal.
