NCAA Gymnastics Championships season

I don’t know about you … but I’m ready for the “playoffs”.

This Women’s College gymnastics season has been the most exciting in years, but hurry up with the Conference, Regional and National Championships.

Manual on Handstands thinks that one of these 5 teams will win the Team Championships 2010:

Alabama: Not Invincible …
Oklahoma: Can they stay undefeated? …
UCLA: Finding consistency …
Florida: Don’t count them out …
Georgia: Needs a road win …

The winning team at Championships must hit 24 for 24.

UCLA I’d call the favourite. But can they hit 24 routines under pressure?

If you believe in momentum, pick Oklahoma. It seems to be their year.

I think Alabama has a good chance to hit 24 routines. If they do, it will be tough to beat the Tide.

Who do you predict to win? Leave a comment.

Gymnastike has up-to-date team rankings with video links, if you want to compare.

i can’t decide who i want to win more, OU or UCLA. georgia doesn’t have ‘it’ this year.

I think it needs to be OU solely because of my love for Hollie Vise. the rest of the time I don’t know anything about. But Hollie–she deserves it.
And then UCLA can win next year, with Sam etc. And! I hope UF gets it one year when Kytra is there. OK, so my basis for wanting teams to win is that I like individual gymnasts…

I don’t want to admit it, but I’m going with Alabama. To me they are not as exciting as a Georgia or Florida, but they can hit, which is what it comes down to. One bad meet is only going to make them stronger.

I think it would be nice to see Oklahoma win it. Share the wealth.

I agree with you though that its exciting. Any word on coverage yet? You had mentioned that they were considering live coverage.

Really Tough competition this year- hard to say but I pick Alabama and Oklahoma as the best. I went to the UCLA home meet on Valentines day and they did not look ready to win, they seemed to have gotten better since then. but are missing Anna Li. Maybe they could be third still.

Although I’d like to see OK break through, I really want to see UCLA win. I’ve loved that team for a while now.

Live TV coverage of the Final Four format would not start until 2011.

This season will still be “Super 6″ without live TV.

I hope it’s OU… but really, it could be anyone… I hope that OU, UGA, Alabama, UCLA, Utah, and Florida make finals… but I also want Oregon to do well… Grrr it’s so hard to decide! I hope that Hollie Vise does AA and makes top 5 or so :)

I’ve not seen any TV schedules, as yet.

Competitions don’t start until January.
