Toepoint… WOW.

I love how she ‘attacked’ that routine. Amazing confidence. Excellent foot and leg form… slight over-extension in the knees – perfect.

Loved the pike front and aerial, side aerial combo, beautiful leaps ~ but she’s a bit bobbly on the beam.

Solovyova appears to be a more natural beam worker than any of the other Russian girls who went senior this year, which is heartening since it seems that, as a team, they’ve got some definite confidence issues on beam.

I’m so glad she’s finally getting some attention! I love Solovyova, she’s one of the only Russians that keeps square hips on her leaps. And the sheep jump is gorgeous, even with the leg sep. I hope she can get her dismount solid, she could be a key player for Russia this year. All her dance elements are creditable, her form is good, she just needs to stay solid and she could be looking at a medal, perhaps!
