yeah, i guess he had a disastrous meet (which i actually figured out right after posting my question), but i don’t think he’s done at all. he’s coming back from surgery and just needs more time. like i said, i hope he will redeem himself at nationals. and by the car he drives (at least from what he said he drives in an interview from a year or two back), i don’t think funding will be a problem.

Dave, I don’t know about that so much. He’s coming off a fractured back. The point of the competition for him was really to just get a feel of competing again. I would just give him a bit of time.

Sasha Artemev was terrible, didn’t even score a 13 on pommel horse, and failed to even advance to day two at Winter Cup. He is off the National Team and maybe done with gymnastics? Just guessing but without financial support it doesn’t seem too likely he’ll continue.

Unlikely they will, as both are hurt and, if they get better, will be focusing on NCAA. Then the team is picked all over again at USAs in the summer.

The National Team only has 15 official members. Bunthuwong and Ishino were petitioned to the team, unranked and unfunded.
