I’d forgotten all about her kid.

Are those real?

Hehehe and margarine is so bad for you, too. I find ads like those so ironic.

UM TP do your research. Margarine, depending on the brand and whatnot isn’t bad for you. Its much much better than butter.

At least butter is all natural. Something Nadia wouldn’t know much about these days! ;-)

MS, no it’s not unless you make it yourself. Butter has a ton of fat and is definitely not the better option, margarine is.

typical serving of margarine has 8g of fat, 2 of it being saturated while butter has 11 and 7 of it being saturated.

Guess which one tastes butter?

The only reason margarine was around is because it was cheaper to make than butter. It’s just oil. Even the stuff with a bit of cream does not have the flavor of butter.

Newer margarines that are not hydrogenated are better on paper but still taste disgusting.

Margarine is made up of vegetable oils, which at room temp is rancid. Vegetable oils are over-fed to us, and eating a bunch of partially hydrogenated vegetable oils instead of butter is terrible for you. Why are fried foods bad? Not because they are fried, but because of what they are fried in (usually vegetable oils). Less fat does not automatically mean more healthy. Rather than listening to what the news tells you, do YOUR research, and stop being a lemming.

TP is literally 1000% correct.

Margarine is TERRIBLE for you. Hydrogenated or partially vegetable oils like stated above. Very rich in omega 6s, combine that with the carbs everyone eats = systemic inflammation = elevated oxidized LDL (oxLDL+inflammation is the major cause in cardiovascular diseases) = heart disease, atherosclerosis, etc.

We don’t need more underlying inflammation in the modern age.

Grassfed butter is insanely healthy because of the better o3:o6 ratios. Man cannot do better than what nature creates, since we are a product of nature.

P.S. partially hydrogenating oils creates trans fats. Yes, when you eat margarine you are getting a lot of trans fats. Trans fats are crap. At least the current nutritional pyramid got that one right… (yet they still recommend these terrible foods with trans fat in them..).

Good to know she still has her eating habits intact.
