She actually turned senior this year, and is in the running to be the second American athlete to compete at the American Cup. At the most recent camp, she came in third all-around (behind Wieber and Ross) which made her the top scoring senior (she beat Bross, Hong, Bieger, ect.) She’s basically a clone of Alicia Sacramone, really good on vault and floor, good on beam, weak on bars.
Would love to see her do a stag jump or a punch front after these tumbling passes. She has so much power that she’s going to have a hard time sticking these landings cold, but if she uses that extra power for another skill (similar to Lauren Mitchell’s floor routines) she would add to the choreography and most likely score better.
Great tumbling, but the rest of the routine was lackluster. Not great dance, and it seemed like she wasnt that into it.
Totally agree bc – great 3.5 twist – horrible switch leap and horrible straddle jump at the end!!
oh this is an OLD routine. I thought she did this at the most recent Parkette Invite. False hope!
[...] That’s Alexandra Raisman of the 3 1/2 twist. [...]
