aerial skiing – 3 flips, 5 twists

What are the top freestyle aerial skiers competing in 2010?

Quadruple saltos are banned. Athletes must, therefore, add twists to increase difficulty score.

Here’s Jeret “Speedy” Peterson from Idaho landing what he calls “The Hurricane“.

Click PLAY or watch it on YouTube.

Jeret plans to compete that jump in the Olympic Final, if weather conditions are optimal.

That looks impossible. How in the world does he do that?

Fantastic, Poly. I posted the 1983 quad. Truly it’s more difficult than what the best are doing over 25yrs later.

This is the most insane sport. adrenaline junkies. i think i would rather be shot out of a cannon than try that.

For such an insane sport, it’s shockingly boring to watch after the first couple jumps. Every single person does the same thing (quad-twisting triple), with very few exceptions.
