A lot of people have asked me that question.
The last time I saw her was at the 2008 Canadian Championships.
Click PLAY or watch her Beam on YouTube.
Loaded with personality, well spoken and showing astonishing difficulty at a young age, Peng Peng was one of the great Junior prospects worldwide. And a sought after NCAA recruit. The audience LOVES this girl.
Unfortunately her beam coach, Carol-Angela Orchard, departed to England after the Beijing Olympics. Her club, Sport Seneca, shut down, the kids forced to relocate to a new space, about the same time.
Finally, Peng Peng was diagnosed last year with Spondylolisthesis.
… The good news is that Peng Peng expects to be cleared to start full workouts in March 2010. She’s already morning training at Oakville, coached by Kelly Manjak and the excellent staff there.
Your fans everywhere wish you all the best with a comeback, Peng Peng.

Very good news! Here’s hoping she keeps her beam mount.
That was a nice back tuck. Some of the tucks I’ve seen from other elites are rather whippy for that level.
she was really one of the most universally lauded & appreciated juniors from a non European nation that I can recall in recent memory. It will truly be sad if she never sees a Worlds or Olympics. Can’t wait until we get some training notes in spring!
I’ve been following her career since she was a super promising 11 year old. I hope she will be healthy enough to have a good senior career. I can’t say I’m surprised that she has gotten injured, she tends to rush her skills (esp on beam) which leads to her falling a lot.
[...] many fans must know that Peng Peng has grown up since they last saw her compete in 2008. She’s no longer the cute little supertalent on [...]
