Diving has been doing this for many years. A diver does a dive and by the time they complete the dive and get out of the pool they look at a poolside TV and see the replay of the dive. This is a simple inexpsensive system using a TIVO or DVR that records every 45 seconds or so. I am surprised it took gymnastics this long to figure it out. Every major team/college program uses these at practices and meets. Very valuable coaching tool.

Most of the home gyms of the National Team girls have had video feedback for some time. It’s the Karolyi Ranch that has been slow getting them.

As Tom mentions Diving has used this for many years. here in Plymouth, UK I specified a system around 3 years ago runs every day for EVERY diver in the Club from saturday beginners to our International level Divers like Tom Daley, Brooke Graddon and Tonia Couch and Sarah Barrow.
Video Feedback systems are good value because it’s not jut the reserve of the top athletes.

Recently I have been working on EchoMotion, which is a portable version of this concept fo dryland training in Diving and also Gymnastics, Trampolining and indeed any other sport that would benefit from Instant Video delay feedback.
