Rock steady. Very talented. I really appreciate her skill level and confidence, but she’s not the most artistic thing to watch. My main issue is that she does not show nice extension throughout her legs. Her knees are never perfectly locked. Her dance is nothing amazing either. But now I feel horrible for saying all that because, really, what an amazingly mature performance, and very deserving of that score regardless of MY silly criticism…
I agree, it is nice to see the confidence. Similar to a Vanessa Atler or Alicia Sacramone. Hopefully she will put more extension into her mount and perhaps do her full turn in Y or attitude in the future.
I had almost the opposite response from Hannah. Her skills are nice and solid but they are mostly nothing special except for the dismount. Very stock. Her choreography, on the other hand, may not be the greatest but I felt she did some interesting and different moves. Very nice.
Good routine. But if I see one more switch leap back tuck, I may throw something at the poor gymnast doing it.
i love this beam routine, and i also agree with shergymrag she had some coll dance in there, maybe not allaround the most artistic routine but not boring, and no where near as lacking in the dance as some of the international routines from this past worlds…
i agree with AM though.. so many of the same skills you see in almost every other beam routine… they should start offering a bonus for athletes performing combinations that no one else is doing..
ie. your the only one of the competition performing that skill or combo you get .1 – .2 ???
prob wouldnt work well but something to get athletes doing some different skills
