Russia’s Google news reports several stories. He sounded very exhausted according to the coach before heading home. What a huge loss to his family, friends and all of he gymnastics community.

This is such a tragic accident. I’m even sorrier to hear that he was tired before going on the drive. I hate to think that something so awful was preventable.
I should say, “might have been preventable”. Nonetheless, I hope everyone who hears about this will think twice before driving tired. I have almost lost some friends because of this myself.
What is it with gymnasts being killed in car accidents? This is awful. I hate to see things like this happen. Sending good vibes to family and friends. Ouch. Man, stuff like this always stings.
