Why Alexandre Tkatchev, of course.
The story goes - true or not - that biomechanists dreamed up the “reverse hecht”, not coaches. And that Alexandre was the first to show it in competition in 1977.
Here he is in the Olympics Games 1980. (Deltchev from Bulgaria won Horizontal Bar.) Click PLAY or watch it on YouTube.
Tkatchev is a coach at West Valley Gymnastics in California.
Deltchev owns Deltchev Gymnastics in Nevada.

What woman competed it first internationally?

I am still researching the Tkatchev, but it seems that Shaposh was the first to compete a Deltchev in 1978 and also the first to do giants in 1977. Although I swear I saw footage of someone in the 1976 Olympics doing a giant from a somewhat lesser-known country. I would need to do more research to confirm all this.
So far I’ve got Davydova in 1980 as the first doing the Tkatchev in Int’l competition. I’ll keep investigating.
Well, I asked Elena this morning and she did say she was the first.
Hahaha! I can’t remember at what gym she is working these days
Isn’t she in Canada?
She’s at Gemini in Canada.
Gemini Gymnastics in Oshawa.
Oct. 1976 Yakunin did a tkachev 1/2 turn dismount in an international meet in Spain. In the training he straddled and caught the bar. He said he invented it. I think he was first.
